Dish and a Prayer Ministry Leaders:

Mission Statement

Dish and a Prayer Ministry’s mission is to provide both the comfort in a dish along with comfort in prayer for those who have given birth to a baby, dealing with illness or medical issues, death or tragedy, or in need of support by our church. It is our hope that while providing comfort in this way we will make connections with our church members in order to grow as a church family.

Who we serve:

Due to the large size of our church family, it’s many needs, and our limited resources of volunteers, we reserve all meal requests for attendees or members of Orange Beach Methodist Church

How long does a dish schedule last:

Dish schedules are usually for one dish, however, if more service time is needed, we can assess the situation as needed.

How do I request a dish:

Most dishes will be frozen and delivered in a timely fashion. The dish will include a checklist card listing the ingredients and baking instructions. If you are asking for help on behalf of someone within our church, please get their permission first before contacting us.

Serve with the “Dish and a Prayer” ministry:

We would love to have you be a part of our amazing ministry! A truly hospitable attitude touches the whole range of life experiences and emotions. Some of those life experiences and emotions come through challenging times: loss of a loved one, birth of a child, a sickness or surgery, etc.

Here are some ways you can serve through this ministry:

  1. Prepare a dish or more to help fill up our church freezer.

  2. Deliver a dish, love, and hospitality to those in need.
